Plant seeds of enthusiasm for gardening

If you think it's hard getting kids to eat their vegetables, wait until you try recruiting them for garden work. But the challenge is worth it: Children just might add more healthy foods to their diet if they've grown them themselves.

Savor the sweet, simple flavor of honeycombs

It's time to think beyond the bear bottle. Because honey comes in way more forms than just plastic squirt bottles. My favorite? Honey in the comb, pure and simple. And yes, the comb is totally safe to eat.

Spinach Lasagna Ready Rollups are a practical alternative to frozen dinners, even for people who don’t like to cook. The Leaf-Chronicle/Diane Welker

    The missing ingredient: Convenience

As I continue choking my way through the assortment of boxed "healthy" frozen dinners in my freezer, something kept dinging in the back of my mind like the annoying "beep beep beep" of the microwave ordering you back into the kitchen.

Mother of the Year was a hands-on mom

Even small children know that clovers have three leaves. But lurking among those thatches of green are rare finds: clovers possessing four leaves. Shirley Stokes always found the four-leaf clovers. Some might chalk that up to sheer luck.

Award-winning photographer donates 'Dollhouse' photos to Clarksville museum
